New dates: 5–10 April (previously 29 March–3 April)
Venue: Shake-A-Leg Miami (Coconut Grove Sailing Club)
The VX One World Championship Organising Committee, in conjunction with the VX International Class Association (VX ICA), advises that the VX One World Championship has been rescheduled to 5-10 April (previously 29 March–3 April), to be held at Shake-A-Leg Miami, based out of Coconut Grove Sailing Club.
The change has been made to maximise competitors’ training opportunities in the lead-up to racing on the championship waters off Miami. With the Bacardi Cup Invitational Regatta now scheduled for 1-3 April, and Easter falling on 26-29 March, the revised dates create a clear and valuable Miami racing window. This allows teams to train, compete and fine-tune immediately prior to the inaugural world championship.
We recognise that some competitors may have already made travel and logistical arrangements based on the original schedule, and we apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause. We appreciate the fleet’s understanding as we align the timing to support the best possible preparation and racing conditions for all teams.
Shake-A-Leg Miami, operating out of Coconut Grove Sailing Club, offers excellent sailing conditions and a proven track record of hosting major international events.
The Notice of Race (NOR) will be released shortly. Competitors and interested parties are encouraged to stay tuned for further details.
