VX Air Highlights
Rig and sails designed for VX Air trapezing
As greater righting moment is created with skiff sailing compared to a hiking boat, the VX Air has a larger sail and rig configuration, including a fully battened, square top mainsail and asymmetric gennaker that produces optimal power for the skiff.
The self-tacker jib lets you get on with sailing
With the self-tacker jib, this means the crew can focus on trimming the off-the-boom mainsheet system upwind.
Centralised controls
The control systems are fed to the centre of the boat for quick, fine adjustments.
Grip to enhance freer movement
The VX Air features performance grip on the deck sides, allowing the crew to move up and down the gunwales without slipping.
Foils for skiff performance
At its stern, the hollow, one-piece carbon rudder stock with tiller affixed provides a strong, lightweight solution to keep weight out of the stern and provide very accurate control over steerage. The skiff is also equipped with a larger centreboard for extra power in light to moderate conditions.
Easy rigging and launching
Enjoy the built-in simplicity, featuring a lightweight carbon mast that is easy to lift and step into the boat, a boat breaker that simplifies attaching the forestay, a jib zipper for quick jib hoists, and shock-cord bungy pins that are quick to attach. The aluminum beach trolley makes launching and retrieving easy.
One design, asymmetric skiff sailing at its best.
